New James Bond Film Title, Cast To Be Announced Via Live Stream Event

As James Bond’s gadgets become increasingly more high-tech, so has the marketing campaign for the newest film in the long-standing franchise. The team behind the upcoming 24th Bond flick will announce its title and cast not by a press release, but via a live stream event.

The live stream will be found on www.007.com starting at 6 AM EST on Thursday, December 4, 2014. The stream will come from the 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios in London. Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are hosting the event for Eon Productions, MGM Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment. In addition to the live stream, the production team behind the upcoming Bond film will announce the movie’s title by way of the official James Bond Twitter handle @007.

In previously reported James Bond news, Daniel Craig is already tapped to play the world-famous British spy for a fourth time. Ralph Fiennes (who plays M) and Naomie Harris (who plays Eve Moneypenny) will also reportedly reprise their roles.

Traditional movie studios seem to be taking a more digital approach to marketing their wares as of late. Paramount Pictures recently undertook a big digital initiative with Google for its sci-fi flick Interstellar. The two companies hosted a live streamed Hangout with the cast and crew of the film, and collaborated on various educational and immersive experiences for moviegoers. Paramount and Google also partnered to produce a time capsule-style documentary inspired by Interstellar.

If you’re a James Bond fanatic, make sure you get up bright and early (if you’re in the U.S.) to check out the live stream and catch the names of who will be starring in the soon-to-be-named film.
