Andrew Huang Makes “99 Red Balloons” Cover Using Only Red Balloons

YouTubers consistently produce some of the most original and creative videos around, which is why we’re enamored with a new video from Andrew Huang. Yesterday, he released a video called “99 Red Balloons – played with red balloons,” and it’s incredible.

The title doesn’t do Huang’s talent justice. The fact that he could pull different notes and sounds out of balloons, compile them together in a multitrack, and create a legitimate representation of the song “99 Red Balloons” is only something you can experience through audio and visuals:

In the video, Huang said he wanted to create a cover for “99 Red Balloons” because he is currently touring in Germany. The song was released as “99 Luftballons” in 1983 by German band Nena, and Huang’s cover is an updated and epic nod to the original.

Huang will next appear in England for his Team Andrew Tour and meet-ups. We can only assume a mind-blowing cover of “Video Killed the Radio Star” by the Buggles will be his next treat for the online video masses.
