Lindsey Stirling Signs Deal With Maker Studios

With over five million subscribers and half a billion views, classically-trained violinist Lindsey Stirling has just partnered with Maker Studios to handle her YouTube channels, advertiser relations, and more.

Maker, the massive YouTube network and self-proclaimed “world’s largest provider of online video content for the millennials” with over 55,000 global creators, plans to help Stirling optimize her video content and provide her valuable production resources from their Culver City studios. Additionally, the MCN will represent her social media platforms to advertisers and monetize her music library on YouTube.

“Maker is extremely proactive and creative with their talent,” Stirling noted in the release. “They seem to have mastered the difficult task of giving attention to their smaller, growing channels while still being able to add value to their larger established channels—plus, with this partnership, I am one step closer to becoming a Disney princess!”

Because of her widespread popularity on YouTube, it’s not surprising this isn’t the first MCN with which Stirling’s been associated. The musician was previously part of Fullscreen before becoming independent and eventually signing with Maker Studios.

“Lindsey is the ultimate independent music talent—setting the bar for other artists to aspire,” said Chris M. Williams, Chief Audience Officer at Maker Studios, in the release. “Her talent and success is undeniable and we could not be more thrilled to welcome her into the Maker community and work together on new projects.”

It’s worth noting that outside of YouTube, Stirling is still managed by Atom Factory, whose CEO Troy Carter helped build the force of pop culture that is Lady Gaga.
