The Finalists Have Arrived For Friskies’ Cat Video Contest

Each year, The Friskies honor the best cat videos the Internet has to offer. This year, at Vidcon, top online video stars called for submissions. Now, the finalists have arrived, and cat video fans (translation: anyone with a heart) have been invited to vote for their favorites.

There are three finalists in each of four categories, and each category has its own celebrity “captain”. Henri Le Chat Noir (and his owner, Will Braden) are in charge of the “Strange” category, Jesse Wellens and his cat Nylah (who is herself a former Friskies nominee) are helming the “Res-Cute” category, Grace Helbig is at the forefront of the “Funny” category, and Viner Zach King leads the “Epic” category.

Each of these online video creators created their own Friskies hype videos, and now that the finalists have been announced, the captains are back it. For instance, Braden posted an Henri video encouraging fans to vote (even though Henri himself seems to think our votes are ultimately pointless).

The 12 finalists have been compiled in a single playlist. Since these are cute cat videos, they’re all pretty short; none of them last for more than a minute. To vote for your favorites, check out The Friskies’ official website. For each vote, Friskies will donate a can of cat food to a shelter, so fan participation will both contribute to a good cause and choose the best in Internet cat-ertainment. The polls will close on September 8th.
