This time, the season is five episodes long, with one new installment rolling out one a day across five days. As with previous seasons, the protagonists are “controversial couple” Kalee and Mason, who are on the lam after the murder of Kalee’s father. There’s enough teen angst to go around, giving Awesomeness’ young demographic exactly what they want.

From the looks of it, Runaways is offering the same melodrama its fans crave, with plenty of twists keeping things interesting. Awesomeness TV projects like Side Effects may be getting more press, but Runaways is just chugging along, a dependable little series that could in the channel’s lineup.
