Now One Year Old, Smosh Games Has 3.2 Million Subs, 428 Million Views

Last September, Smosh Games was formed out of a merger between Smosh and Clevver Games. It immediately captured the eyeballs of its founding channels’ young fans, and, exactly one year later, it continues to pay dividends for its creators .

Smosh Games first 12 months have arguably been the strongest one year debut of any channel in YouTube channel. While channels like PewDiePie and MisterEpicMann saw sharp, explosive growth this year, no one has gone from zero to hero quite like Alloy Digital‘s gaming hub. Its 3.2 million subscribers put it in 68th place on VidstatsX’s YouTube leaderboard, and its 428 million views are nothing to scoff at either.

“Smosh Games has performed brilliantly in its first year, and is a testament to Smosh’s continued dominance across multiple platforms,” commented Barry Blumberg, EVP at Alloy Digital. “It’s exciting to see the rabid enthusiasm growing around the brand in such a short period of time. Few channels have ever seen the incredible out-of-the-gate numbers we saw with Smosh Games and we look forward to rising to the next level in year two.”

We encourage you to celebrate Smosh Games’ anniversary by checking out the latest episode of its newest series, Cage Match Challenge:

As we’ve previously noted, the launch of Smosh Games also revitalized the main Smosh channel and encouraged the major growth it has undergone in the past year. If Alloy wants to keep energizing its Smosh brand, it should use Smosh Games as an example and hop on the most popular YouTube trends. Smosh Pranks, anyone?
