Broadband TV’s VISO Catalyst Is The Latest Creator Toolkit

BroadbandTV is providing its creators with a platform through which they can quickly and efficiently analyze their videos. The Canadian multi-channel network has officially launched VISO Catalyst, a powerful new optimization tool for all Broadband partners.

VISO Catalyst resembles several other creator platforms launched by multi-channel networks. Specifically, it is similar to the suite of tools Fullscreen debuted in July. As with that platform, VISO Catalyst gives Broadband a way to sell itself to potential creators beyond whatever revenue share it can offer. In the saturated MCN landscape, these additional selling points can make a big difference.

VISO Catalyst will be available to Broadband creators free of charge. It will therefore serve more than 10,000 channels that are collectively racking up more than a billion views each month across the main Content Management line (whose clients include brands like NBA, Discovery and A&E) and sub-networks VISO and TGN.

BroadbandTV noted technology as a key area where it planned to expand after scoring a $36 million funding round in June.

As BroadbandTV founder Shahrzad Rafati explains, the new offering is most effective in providing creators with efficient, time-saving analysis. “We want BBTV channel partners to be as successful as possible, spending less time preparing and analyzing data and more time doing what they love: creating videos,” she said. “BBTV is committed to developing the most effective tools available and continuing to demonstrate why it is the most advanced MCN in the business.”

BroadbandTV claims that users of VISO Catalyst boosted viewership by an average of 34% in just 30 days. Not bad for a free piece of software.
