There’s Something For Everyone At Social Media Week Los Angeles

You may know Tubefilter as a news source for online video, but the truth is that our roots go much deeper than that. If you hop on over to socialmediaweek.com/losangeles, you can discover Social Media Week: Los Angeles, a seven-day event we’re helping to put on down in the City of Angels.

Social Media Week is a worldwide project where online professionals can come together and share their personal ideas on how to understand the growing behemoth that is the social media space. To get an idea of the kind of people you can expect to see there, check out what we’re writing on the SMWLA blog; we’ve had profiles of our SMWLA advisorsnews from the industry, and plenty of guest posts. If you like what we’re doing there, then you’ll find plenty to pique your interest at SMWLA. Even if you’re not from Los Angeles, now you’ve got an excuse to plan that trip you’ve been meaning to take. It all goes down from September 24th to the 30th, at sites all over the city, but with a focus in Hollywood at io/LA and the historic Egyptian Theatre.

SMWLA attracts a wide variety of speakers, and this year’s keynote presenters are no different, with talks by speakers from NokiaAmerican ApparelNFL Digital Media and The Grammy Awards. Each will offer his or her unique perspective on marketing in the digital space.

Not into the big guys’ perspectives? There are also plenty of keynote speakers who have started their own businesses, fueling their ambitions with the power of social media marketing. Personally, I’m most interested in Adam Garone of Movember. Gotta get some tips on mustache grooming and homegrown entrepreneurship before No-Shave November rolls around. Point is, there’s a keynote out there for everyone; all you need to do is look at the list and pick out the one that suits you best.

In addition to keynote speakers, there’s a lot more going on this year at SMWLA. Maybe your dream is to one day open a restaurant, or work very remotely as a member of the travel industry. Perhaps you’re trying to advertise your band or your TV pilot. Even if you just have a passing interest in these subjects, what’s the harm that can be done by showing up and hearing fascinating people talk about the things they love?

Take a look at the full schedule – which includes daily briefs from Freshwire and nightly networking events – to register now and create the Social Media Week you want to see.
