Yep, that’s over 250 movies. Comedian Mark Malkoff, known for zany stunts like getting six-pack abs in 30 days, racing a NYC bus on a Big Wheel, and sleeping with celebrities (including a pillow fight on a red carpet), has teamed up with My Damn Channel to see how many films he can watch on Netflix Watch Instantly in one month.
Malkoff’s goal is to watch 250 movies from April 15 to May 14—over 400 hours in a month. For those of you too lazy to do the math, that’s 13 hours a day.

Malkoff has received over 500 film suggestions from individuals on Facebook and Twitter. Later today Jason London, the star of Dazed and Confused, is coming over Malkoff’s apartment to watch the film with him.
According to Nielsen, the average American watches more than 4 hours of TV each day. So 13 hours is a lot. Given eight hours of sleep per day, that leaves only 3 hours left for life.
“Last week I didn’t leave my apartment for 155 hours,” Malkoff told Tubefilter. “I’m currently on day 10 and have watched over 130 hours.”
The upside? If he gets through 250, it works out to about $0.03 a title. Not too shabby. I wonder what the value would have been on Qwickster.
Here’s Malkoff’s Netflix film set list for today. Find out more on Mark’s Blog.
