Kids Reenact Kanye West’s Twitter Account

It’s not that Kanye West is in possession of the biggest ego of any pop culture icon, it’s that he’s not afraid to show it. The mega-star rapper/singer/producer constantly engages in high-profile shenanigans guaranteed to feed his unrelenting appetite for mass media attention.

Inflating one’s own self-importance and maintaing relevancy in the fickle world of entertainment is not an easy job, but West manages by making the most of new media platforms. Since he stopped hating on Twitter, the micro-blogging service has functioned as West’s go-to, feel-good megaphone. It provides an uncensored, unsolicited stream of consciousness – which may or may not have inadvertently killed the business of music magazines – broadcast to 1.6 million fans and counting.

kids-reenact-kanye-west-twitterWhat’s the only thing better than a live feed of mundane and prolific statements from an egotist with great taste who can make one helluva sample? Kids reenacting it.

Kids Reenact: Kanye’s Tweets is a mini-series spin-off of the popular Babelgum web show Kids Reenact, in which kindergartners do their best renditions of Real Houswives, Jersey Shore, Dancing with the Stars, and other recognizable entertainment properties. Each of the so far seven episodes of Kanye’s Tweets highlights one of the rapper’s sillier and SFW Twitter statements, complete with a voice over from a cute kid, a quick dramatization, and ridiculous looking sunglasses.

They’re uber-short (which I love), adorable, and have the added benefit of making West’s egomaniacal outbursts a little more tolerable.
