‘Webventures of Justin & Alden’ Trailer, Photos and Felicia Day’s Ninjas

The Webventures of Justin and AldenThe Webventures of Justin & Alden might have one of the deepest casts of web series notables that we’ve seen to date. Fitting, since the new five-episode branded comedy web series from CJP Digital Media and lead sponsor Trident Layers (disclosure: Trident is also a Streamy Awards sponsor) is all about two would-be internet-famos set to find web video glory by making “the greatest Web series Web show that’s ever been on the Web computer.”

Justin Tyler and Alden Ford, both regulars at sketch comedy theater UCB in New York, star as the hapless titular duo in this Bill and Ted’s-style (yes, there’s even some time travel) road trip. The destination of this road trip is the Streamy Awards in Los Angeles in hopes of finding the perfect web star. Guests of this year’s Streamys may have noticed these two crashing the red carpet and even the stage of the main ceremony—of which they weren’t the only one to do so. It wasn’t quite Bruno crashing the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week, but still caught most of the audience off guard.

Legend of Neil creators Tony Janning and Sandeep Parikh penned the script, and if that’s not enough, Easy to Assemble producers Illeana Douglas and Dominik Rausch came on board to produce. CJP Digital’s Wilson Cleveland was the primary producer overseeing the production and orchestrating the sponsorship deal.

The 5-ep series premieres online Tuesday April 27 on YouTube, My Damn Channel and Trident’s official Facebook page. It will also be available on Boxee, TiVo and Roku set-top boxes as well as mobile apps for the iPhone and Android phones.
