Interactive Series 'Satacracy 88' Concludes Award Winning Run

Satacracy 88The Emmy-award winning web series Satacracy 88 recently wrapped up its final, twenty-fourth episode, concluding what the New York Times called “the greatest online video thriller on the Internet.” Created by Brad Winderbaum and Diahnna Nicole Baxter in 2006 (around the same time that lonelygirl15 was coming into prominence) Satacracy 88 went on to win the 2007 Emmy for Outstanding Broadband Drama, as well as a 2007 Webby. The series was also nominated for a 2008 Emmy and was an official honoree at the 2008 Webbys.

Following the Emmy win, It’s All In Your Hands.tv, the series’ web portal, launched two additional shows, Moonshine and Blankslate. The shows all incorporate a choose-your-own-adventure style voting process; each episode ends with a cliff-hanger, and the audience determines how the plot should be advanced, an intriguing approach in an age of American Idol interactivity. The site is committed to expanding its innovative collaboration with its audience as well: “In the future, we will continue to find and invent new kinds of interactivity and offer our audience even more ways to control the direction of their favorite shows.”
