Food-related internet-TV is all the rage these days. Why? Well, for one thing, it’s relatively cheap to produce and, when we’re looking for something to cook or somewhere to dine, we head to the web, obviously. Video complements our fact-finding experience. In recent weeks, we’ve seen channels like Le Gourmet and iFoods.tv join the scores of others competing for eyeballs in this competitive space. (I’m personally drawn to the down-home charm of Grace Piper of Fearless Cooking – Tilzy.TV Page)
Food-themed web TV just got an injection of legitimacy with the arrival of Food Network personality Mario Batali. The new short-form series, to be showcased on food blog Serious Eats, will feature the chef providing his take on various cooking and restaurant related topics.
