Mike and Mike in the Morning is one of ESPN’s most popular talk radio shows. Since October 1998, the unlikely duo consisting of slight sports journalist Mike Greenberg and not-so-slight former NFL defensive lineman Mike Golic has entertained listeners from 6AM to 10AM with its insightful commentary, back-and-forth banter, and inside jokes under the motto, “What makes them different makes them great.”
Off-Mikes is the show’s online, Emmy award-winning spin-off, featuring actual bytes from the radio talk show set against exaggerated, flash animated renditions of Greenberg and Golic. Produced by Animax Entertainment, the show recently started its Hummer-sponsored fourth season. ###

Much like the way doogtoons (Tilzy.TV page) raises seemingly normal conversations to a level of comedic absurdity, Off-Mikes uses animation to pit its characters in embellished situations involving otherwise common personal experiences.
Whether its Golic getting a grilling about his son’s new car or the two conversing about who would play them in a major motion picture, the effect is funny, even for those uninterested in new happenings at ESPN or sports in general.
