Rudy Giuliani is del.icio.us.

Rudy Giuliani is del.icio.us.

While Barack Obama has appeared both officially and unofficially on YouTube and John Edwards has done everything from announce his presidential goals on Rocketboom to watch his Second Life headquarters get vandalized with graffiti slogans, oil dereks, elephant testicles, and flying horned devil-birds, online video is still dark territory for the bulk of Republican candidates.

But the second version of JoinRudy2008, Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giulianis campaign site, went online last week renovated with design that leans heavily on video content. Each page is topped with a Brightcove player featuring exclusive videos, though there are only three at the moment. These include an address to South Carolina firefighters, a rally recording where he discusses his past successes, and a lengthy welcome message with more than a few City Upon a Hill references.

And the savvy doesn’t stop with online video. There are Rudy widgets, a Rudy blog, a daring interactive area where users can post why they want Rudy to be their president, and everything on the site is compatible with Digg, Google, Facebook, del.icio.us, email, and RSS.
